Fitness training for a woman usually differs considerably from a man’s exercise routine. A woman’s fitness objectives do not usually include building large muscles. A woman who has just begun an exercise regime cannot cope with the same demands as one who has been training for several years and is extremely fit. Therefore if you are a beginner your women’s fitness workout will start off gentle so that you can easily manage it without losing motivation or injuring yourself.

Your requirements might differ considerably from that of the next women. For example, you may wish to lose weight and tone up whereas the women next to you may be thin but lacking in muscle tone. Then there are those women who are already very muscular but have a layer of flab that they wish to eliminate. Your women’s fitness workout will depend on your personal requirements. If you want to lose weight you will need to do more cardio vascular exercise and restrict your calorie intake. If you wish to tone up you will need to do some resistance work with weights.

Its stands to reasons that a woman in her twenties can probably handle a more intense workout than one who is in her sixties or seventies, though there are always exceptions to the rule. However, if you are an older individual who suffers from a condition such as arthritis or brittle bones your women’s fitness workout will not be as strenuous as that of a younger woman with a clean bill of health.

Your Preferences
Obviously you will need to take your own personal preferences into consideration before deciding on your women’s fitness workout routine. It is very difficult to stick to a plan if you do not enjoy it. Therefore it is important that your workout regime includes the kind of activities you like. So if, for example, you like swimming and yoga it makes sense to include these activities in your routine. Similarly if you can’t abide running it would obviously be prudent to avoid it.
